This is a little out of the way gem I found while looking on Google Maps. It’s in the middle of Iowa mostly in the middle of nowhere. It was about 4-5 miles from where we were camped!
Remember the movie Twister? Right about the 59 minute into the movie they were getting ready to release the storm data collection device Dorthy into the middle of a tornado. The hill they were on was just east of a little town called Pilot Mound, right past a bridge over the Des Moines River.

It’s amazing and fun what you can run across unexpectedly while RVing across the country!
