Yea! My salesman at the Lazy Days RV dealership in Tampa finally got back to me this morning. Interestingly, he said the company had laid off about 25% of their workforce a few weeks ago, just before they got slammed with new customers! (They’re working to get most of their employees back now.)
I had previously asked about the new factory upgrade to 8K axels with disk brakes (used to be an aftermarket upgrade you could do) and the price seems to be cheaper than going the aftermarket option. So we made the change, I signed the paperwork, and everything is in the process of getting sent to the factory. Now depending on how far the factory is behind with their backlog, I’m still hoping to take delivery sometime in August!
One thing that just came to mind was this. I know they give factory tours and I’ve seen several youtube videos from others showing various aspects of the construction process. My brilliant idea is this: I wonder if I can coordinate with the factory to come up there and do a tour as my specific RV is being built? Hmmm…I think it would be quite interesting and instructional if that could happen!
